We act for many lenders who provide buy-to-let mortgages. If these mortgages fall into arrears, the lender instructs us to visit the security address and also any correspondence addresses held for the customer.
When visiting the security address the Field Agent will seek to establish if the property is tenanted, the names of all occupiers and their terms of occupancy. We also report on the condition of the property and its marketability should it need to be sold.
A Field Agent will also attend at the last known correspondence address held for the customer to determine the arrears, obtain an income and expenditure analysis and a proposal from the customer to clear the arrears. The Field Agent will also seek to determine the customer’s long term intentions for the property and recommend a proposal for the future good conduct of the account.
Visits can also be arranged for customers that have multiple buy-to-let properties.
